The Stepwell Center is the outpatient mental health and wellness facility on the south shore of Lake Travis, at 2901 Ranch Road 620 N in the 78734 ZIP that serves Lakeway. From that one site, care draws across the whole corridor: Bee Cave and the Galleria area to the south, Westlake and West Lake Hills to the east, Spicewood and the western reaches of the lake, and the southern Hill Country corridor through Dripping Springs. Patients also commute from the north-shore communities, including Lago Vista, Volente, Hudson Bend, and Briarcliff.
Care begins with a 2 to 3 day comprehensive assessment at the Lakeway site, then continues across PHP, IOP, Evening IOP, or Outpatient programming based on what the assessment shows. The Prescribed Care Model means each plan is written from your clinical and diagnostic profile, not a default curriculum, and patients move between levels with the same clinical team as their needs change.
More than 1 in 5 US adults experienced any mental illness in the past year per NIMH, and recent Texas DSHS data shows Travis County residents report frequent poor-mental-health days at a higher rate than the state average. A CDC BRFSS study of Travis County found roughly 16 percent of local adults reported a depression diagnosis, ahead of the rate for adults reporting recent poor mental health. Same-day or next-day admission to the assessment is the standard at Stepwell, so a Lake Travis resident does not have to sit on a waitlist while symptoms compound.
