The Stepwell Center sits at 2901 Ranch Road 620 N, west of central Austin along the Loop 360 and Highway 71 corridors. For residents downtown, in Tarrytown, Clarksville, Mueller, Hyde Park, East Austin, the Domain, and the South Lamar and Oak Hill neighborhoods, the drive west is straightforward and stays out of any cross-river bottleneck. The Lakeway facility also serves neighbors in Lakeway, Bee Cave, Westlake, Spicewood, and the wider Lake Travis area.
Care begins with a 2 to 3 day comprehensive assessment, then continues across PHP, IOP, Evening IOP, or Outpatient programming based on what the assessment shows. The Prescribed Care Model means each plan is written from your clinical and diagnostic profile, not a default curriculum, and patients move between levels with the same clinical team as their needs change.
More than one in five US adults lived with a mental illness in the past year per NIMH, and recent Texas DSHS data shows Travis County residents report frequent poor-mental-health days at a higher rate than the state average. Same-day or next-day admission to the assessment is the standard at Stepwell, so an Austin resident does not have to sit on a waitlist while symptoms compound.
